Ronald Hofer was born June 13, 1970 In Parkston, SD to John and Lydia (Waldner) Hofer. He died May 11, 2019 at Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls with his family by his side.
In addition to spending time with his family, Ron loved the outdoors. He particularly enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He also had a love and talent for woodworking and repairs, and was always ready to lend a helping hand.
Ronald Hofer lived in Freeman, South Dakota. He worked for Loren Construction for seven years and then for Rural Manufacturing for 20 years.
Those who cherish his memory are his mother Lydia Hofer of Minnesota, siblings, Lydia (Stuart) Schrag of Freeman, John (Jolene) Hofer of Washington, Betty Decker of Freeman, Reiny Hofer of Freeman. Sam (Christy) Hofer of Freeman, Nieces and nephews Julia Decker and special friend Jeff, Nathan, Neven, and Jenna Hofer, Tristan Schrag, Dakota, Mercedes, and Arielle Hofer.
He was preceeded in death by his father John Hofer, brother-in-law Jerry Decker and Nephew Sean Hofer.
